Rover P1s P2s & P3s from around the world
If you would like your P1, P2, or P3 shown here please email me a picture and description to:-
john@1947rover.co.uk
As there is a shortage of information regarding early Rover models on the web, I decided I would post some pictures for reference here
Ignacio from Ibiza sent these pictures of his 1946 P2 16hp Saloon
I realise it's a long shot but it has to be worth a try........
I received an email form Irene regarding a car her father owned.
"Hello John,
Please forgive my intrusion.
I have found a photo of a Rover (16?) which belonged to my dad in the 1960s and I wondered if there was any way I could find out where she is now.
Thanks
Best wishes
Irene"
The owners name's were Douglas (aka Fred) Newell and Leslie Matthews both of Luton, Bedfordshire.
The photograph was taken in 1959 and the paintwork is black
I can confirm from the registration number the car was first registered in Bedfordshire in April 1939
If anyone knows the whereabouts of this vehicle or has any information could you please let me know and I will pass on the details to Irene
From my records I would say that this is not a Rover 16ss but a 14ss. The bonnet side panels do not have the vent flaps which were standard fitment on the 16hp cars
Luis Cornejo from Cadiz sent these pictures of his 1947 Tourer
Chris Dancey of Brighton supplied these pictures of his 1934 (35 model)
10hp which he has owned since 1980 and which is currently under restoration
